The clutch on my 94 f350 4x4 is really acting weird. When you step on the pedal 3 out of 5 times it grabs & goes to the floor where you move it back up with foot & it works fine a few more times. Do I have an air bubble in my line or are the pedal bushings going out? I've heard a few different ideas. About two months ago I replaced the slave cylinder & just parked it on hill & pumped the pedal instead of bleedind the whole system. Please help!!! Going Crazy!!!!

Sorry my friend- that's simply gibberish.
I tried to find "Parking on an incline while pumping the pedal" in the manual as the recommended way to bleed the clutch. No luck there either..
Just so you don't think I am only pulling your leg, try bleeding the clutch with and assistant in the cab. You know, the old fashioned way by opening the bleeder screw on the slave while he/she pushes the pedal to the floor. Then close the bleeder screw and repeat. This may solve whatever problem you are having. With the clutch that is....
Great idea EXCEPT the slave does not have a bleeder screw, & the pedal feels like there is some sort of force pressing it down. You can watch the pedal move towards the floorboard. Hope that clears things up.
OK I will try make myself more clear. I called my boss at the towing co. I used to work at, & he said those bushings go out all the time on his wrecker, a 92 F-350. He said he thinks the reason my truck is doing this is because those bushings get a flat spot on them & the pedal goes to the floor. I don't know but those bushings look like a real pain to change. What is involved? Sorry for any mix-ups.
I am 100% sure there is no bleeder screw any where.

The bushing deal should be pretty easy to check at least. Have a good look up under there and see how things are. If the pedal/shaft/rod/bushing combo is even reasonably tight, then I don't think that's your trouble. It would have to be mighty sloppy to do what its doing.
If for some reason there really is no bleeder screw on the slave (seems pretty odd though), then you could try cracking the line at the fitting and try it that way. I have to say though that one would hope that Ford would provide a way to bleed that hydraulic system.
I take it that this is an external slave mounted on the bell housing right?
Where did you buy the slave? If it's Kragen/Checkers/Pep Boys or Napa then we can look at a picture of the beast. Those websites have photos of most of the parts they sell. Rock Auto too I think.

I believe I bought it at Autozone. I will have to go through my reciepts. I know I am not going to make the same mistake as I did with my 91. I replaced everything only to learn the pedal had jumped the spline. $500 mistake!

hello
i just found your site by mistake but I really really like what I see. I have had a f150 now for 7 yr and i love it. the best truck i have had. mine has 250,000 miles I've had very few problems with it until a week ago I think I blew the motor i am waiting on the mechnic to let me know yah or nah and how much to put it back on the road. thanks for your welcome and i'll be watching to see if i can give or recieve any advice
I have replaced the clutch petal assembly bushing twice now (50,000 miles in between) My mech says it not uncommon the bushing are plastic the petal went all the way to floor and stayed both times the first time I spent $ 9.00+ labor a pop to replace one bushing three times before i finally found a mech that told me I should replace the whole assembly
