I have a with safe hitch. I take this out over the winter. I can't seem to find the keys anywhere. There is a locking pin that attaches to the truck and also a separate key that adjusts the hitch up and down. Are these generic keys? Has anybody else had this issue and solved it? I've emailed weigh safe but checking here also.
Locksmith? If you still have the code from the key they may be able to make a key from that. I've used a locksmith that read the code from the key and then didn't need the key as a template. At least that's how it seemed at the time. I might have been a little distracted by the 50 gun safe he had in the shop for sale.
I know this isn't a Ford issue but it's on my f350 dually. The pin came with the hitch off Amazon. The "key"is actually just a round generic looking key. Just wondering if this is like a lawnmower key, where one key fits every mower?
Maybe buy another hitch lock with the same key type and see if it opens the existing lock. If not, at keast you have a new lick if you end up cutting the old one off. May be cheathan a locksmith
