There is a test kit you can buy and use. It involves several test.
Test 1 for Nitrates. Our coolant should not have any Nitrates in it. If you find any nitrates in your coolant. It usually means somebody added the wrong coolant to your system.
7.3L, 6.0L 6.4L engines all used coolants with Nitrates. 6.7L is a OAT based coolant and uses no Nitrates.
Test 2 is for Freeze Protection
