Diesel's market is overseas.... diesel is still kind of a boutique market here so prices are higher than gasoline.
In Central Oregon right now, diesel and gas prices are about the same at around $3.15. A couple months ago diesel was about $.20 a gallon cheaper than gas. Last summer diesel was about $.30 per gallon more than gas. Really hard to figure out pricing. Kind of like trying to figure out traffic patterns. Makes no sense some times.
Diesel is pretty close to the mid grade gas pricing. Cheapest diesel in my immediate area is $4.00/g and goes up to about $4.70/g. I go to the Shell stations and with rewards card can get .10c to .30c off per gallon, helps a little.
North-central CO, the prices are flat. For the past several weeks, diesel is about $2.89 commonly and regular gasoline is $2.85. Gas has a lower floor ... if you search around, you can get as as low as $2.60 and diesel's floor is around $2.75. it's still not the norm, but it's not uncommon to see diesel cheaper around here. I just filled up 2 days ago for $2.75/gal and gas at that station was $2.83. This was a major I-25 interchange with 4 truck-worthy stations ... all had lower diesel prices than gas.
I bought my truck on April 26th.between two weeks before and two weeks after buying my truck, gas went up 65 cents per gallon and diesel went up 4 cents per gallon. Still enjoying my gasser, though.
You might find this helpful. Check out Taxifornia. lol. I paid $4.20 when I was out there.
Yep, we get bent over everyday, every transaction. I'm still blown away with how the majority here support, approve and vote for the most ignorant things. Being born and raised here I'm embarrassed by the direction this state has gone.
Anyone who visits here might also notice that even with some of the highest taxes of anywhere the roads and infrastructure suck.
