So I haven’t decided what to do for sure, but I’m thinking of selling my JBA headers off my truck. These are for the 3V (2005+) 6.8 V10 Super Duty.
They have less than 1,000 miles on them. Definitely have some low end gains to speak of, but the shop that put them on didn’t do a great job and left a minor leak and now the gasket is shot and needs to be replaced. So when I take them off, I’m putting the manifolds back on with stainless studs and calling it done.
So, would anyone be interested if I was to post this the correct way in the classifieds? I’m just trying to see if there would be any interest.
Your never gonna get anywhere near close to what you paid for the headers now the labor cost. I'd personally have the shop pay for new gaskets and some of the labor back. Then I'd buy stainless studs and brass nuts and install it myself
I realize I won’t make back my investment. That’s not the goal really. Just recouping some of it would make me happy. Honestly, I’m just looking for the best long term option and the stock setup with better studs seems to be that answer.
