If you dont mind me asking. What did the body shop charge you to move the bed in the 45 min that it took?
I don't mind you asking ... it's what this forum is all about. It was the cab they moved to correct the alignment issue, and as I mentioned in post #4 above, it was covered under a Ford 12-month/12K-mile "adjustments" warranty ... $0.
Thanks! Your question made me realize I said my 2nd appointment was to move the bed, when in fact, it was to move the cab since the bed wouldn't move any further. (I corrected my previous post)
FYI there are two alignment pins that only give you so much movement.
in regards to a 2019 F250
Where are the pins located?
And
the bed bolts.. once they are loosened you must use new bolts?
According to the PDF linked to in post#31 of this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rx-plus-2.html
you apparently do.
However this pdf is referencing removing the bed completely vs loosening the bolts up and adjusting the bed.
But they still say to use new bolts as they are a one time use even if loosening.
Mine was way off.
The bed can’t move, they have to move the cab over.
Just take a straight edge to bed and measure to cab on each side.just make sure your at same height.
and when they were done it was perfect... I was pleasantly surprised.
Funny, I just found out this was a thing this week on another thread. Mine is very close but it does favor the drivers side. Once you start moving I doubt it would take 1/2" to get it straight. But I would be afraid to allow the dealer to do that.
The drivers side is exactly even with the cab and the passenger side is less than an inch nside the edge.
Im leaving it.
I know this is an older thread but I dont think I need to start a new one, just noticed on my truck that my drivers side is perfect but my passenger side looks to be 3/4 to an inch out
When I get home I had to check to see if someone hit my truck it looked so bad, I cant believe I didnt notice this when I took delivery, truck is 3 months old
I cant find where it states " 1 year adjustment warranty" as another member posted
Bear in mind I'm up in canada and im sure the warranty differs than in the US
I guess I’m one of those 20/20 guys - 20 mph, 20 feet away I would never notice this misalignment. I guess I’m easy to please.
Same here. You can only look at one side at a time. Lol. I said something about my truck to the Ford body shop right after I got my truck in 2017. They said the beds do not have much room if any to move as the bolts thread right through frame. I didnt want them messing with the cab so it stayed as is. I look at it this way its factory imperfection. Someday it will be highly sought after like the classic car arena where imperfect lines are a sign of a survivor car! Untouched for 50 years. Lol

What do you guys think about this BS
Drivers side is perfect
Can you notice if your passenger wheel is sticking out further than your driver side? The reason I ask is because I noticed mine was today and its hard for me to see if my bed is shifted because of my black paint.
Can anyone confirm if it's the box or the cab that has to be moved over to correct this issue ?
And how long would this take at a reputable body shop?
Can be the cab or the bed, or a combination of both depending on how the factory ate up the allowable tolerances in positining them on the assembly line.
I made an appointment with my dealer's body shop and they were finished in less than an hour.
And it was the dealer's body shop that mentioned the 12-month / 12k miles adjustment warranty.

Are you talking about front passenger side or rear passenger side?
And in regards to the wheel sticking out, what are you thinking is off ? The cab ( front fender ) or box ?
I'm trying to understand what you are comparing your wheel sticking and what that is affecting ?
I am talking about the rear wheels. I noticed today that my rear driver side wheel is in further than the passenger side. The passenger side wheel is sticking out more. I can notice it by looking down the side of the truck. I'm not sure if my bed is out of alignment or my rear axle is out of whack. If your wheel is similar to mine then I would lean toward my bed being out of whack. I also have 5th wheel prep. I read somewhere where that may effect things..

I will check when I get home, I have a 6.2 CCLB with snowplow/camper prep and 2.5 ready lift, doubt any of that matters
