Hello there... I'm currently restoring my 92 F350 7.5 that I bought not long ago, and I can't get it work properly. Seems like someone alone the way replaced the ecm, but not sure if it is the right one.
1-98A-R00 is the calibration code on my truck. And the current ecm # is F2TF-12A650-JA.
Also there is a J2C code on top of the bar code of the ecm label. Hopefully you can help me out with this.
Thanks a ton.

For Calibration code of 1-98A-R00:
The Ford SERVICE part number is F2TZ 12A650-KA.
The ENGINEERING number on the PROCESSOR AND CALIBRATOR ASSY., is F2TF 12A650-KA.
I did not find that number in my computer look-up.
So I looked it up on the Micro Fiche.
The Micro Fiche says that the code 1-64E-R0 is for a 1991 F150 with a 5.8L with a E4OD transmission with a parts list of #117.
Parts list 117 says that the number on the PCM (ECM) would be F1TF-12A650-ASA and the Ford part number would be F1TZ-12A650-ASA.
Motor is all original with 97,xxxx miles on it. And definitely a 5.0. Also its federal emissions and not cali emissions.
Edit: it's a 91 silver aniversary edition but production label said 1990. Is there the same calibration code for a 91 5.0 in that year?
The ‘91 model year would have started late summer of 1990 so that makes sense. With a 5.0L the 8th digit in the VIN would be the letter “N”. Is that what you have?
I have a 91 Bronco with the 5.8. It originally had the E4OD, but I swapped it for the Mazda 5 spd about a year ago. I've recently developed an ECM issue. The factory ECM is F1TF-12A650-ASA and I understand this is for the auto transmission. Since I'm now running a manual, and I have to reprogram or get a new ECM, is there another code I should be looking for? From what I can tell, most of the nuances are coded into those last three letters. The code on my door is 1-64E-R00. I live in SC and don't need CA emissions or high altitude programming. Thanks!
