what is the correct method for checking the tps I have the multimeter and I understand that its supposed to be .99 volts but where do i hook up the wires for the tester, what do I set the tester on and so-forth. its on a 91 e-150 w/351w

Connect the meter to the center wire and turn on the key. Then ground the other meter probe. At closed throttle you should see just under 1 volt. Please the throttle slowly and you should see a smooth transition to 4+ volts at wide open throttle. If not, then it needs replacing.
