Headlight adjust tool

Anyone have a cheap alternative for the a tool to adjust the headlights?
I found one for about $20, but would like a cheaper option for the one time use.

You can't really go cheap with that tool because cheap ones will round off your adjuster and cost you a lot more cash and aggravation. You can get it on eBay for $15.49 with free shipping.

You can aim your headlights at night by aiming your truck at a wall about 30 to 40 feet away. Aim left light toward the right and slightly down and the right light should be straight. It's cheap and it works.

The correct way to aim headlights so they don't aggravate or blind on coming vehicles is written in this article

Yup, I got a $14 one off e-bay years ago, used it on my truck a few times (I swapped to a HID Retrofit), and have used it on 3 other Fords.
I have not touched it in probably 4 years, but have it if I ever need it again.

I used a 1/4: drive air ratchet with either a 5mm or 5.5mm socket. It's tight but doable.

I tried doing mine with a regular ratchet and socket, a socket on a 1/4" breaker bar, and a couple other hokey ways...
Ended up buying the correct Lisle tool off Amazon, and had my lights adjusted in a just few minutes.
My saved time was well worth a few bucks.

Buying a tool that has only one function especially for one time use is a waste. Unfortunately AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts don't carry this tool on loaner tool list.

It's a $12 tool. Spend $12 and have the job done in a few minutes, or fight for a couple hours using the wrong tool...
You're choice.
Granted, some trucks may have more room to work, but on mine, there was no way any other tool was going to do the job.
It was either this, or take the light out, adjust it, put it back in, repeat...
