Look for a recommendation for rain guards/window visors. I bought a set and installed them as per directions and the fit didnt seem very good. I removed them and returned them. Anyone have a good working brand/model that works? Im looking for in-channel models.

I’m curious about these as well. What ones had the poor fit so we know to avoid them.
Thanks
I've always run AVS Ventshade and been very happy, especially with any warranty claims. Bought my father some Ford branded ones about 13 years ago and they too were very nice. I haven't started looking yet for my '17, but we are definitely missing them already. After my first pair, we always ran the ones that stick to the outside of the window seal.
Likewise, I've been thinking about this along with a bug shield on the front of the hood. Loved them on my previous truck. Functionality was great and I thought they added to the overall look. Originally thought they were a no brainer to put on the new truck, but now I'm reconsidering... worried they'll look cheap and end up damaging the tint. Post pics when / if you get a new set. Would love to see how they turn out.
Thanks for the replies. The set i had trouble with and sent back were AVS 194381. Reviews were mixed. I tried everything i thought was possible but wasnt happy with the fit.
Wife bought a 2018 Explorer a few months ago, and I instaled the AVS flush-mount bug/rock guard on the front edge of her hood, and the in-channel window visors. The hood guard had a sufficient amount of double-back tape, but I had to remove the in-channel visors and re-apply the DB-tape because there were places where the tape was missing. No problems since. FWIW, the Ford-brand hood guard I installed on her 2013 Explorer was manufactured by AVS. Haven't installed them on my KR yet.
Just installed the AVS in channel visors and so far they are great. During the install you have to pay attention to the additional tabs on each end or you will have issues.
I use AVS low profile stick ons. Tried in channel on a couple of different trucks. Never a happy outcome. The stick ons have been through the car wash dozens of times with no problem.
