Talking What About The Good Stuff?

Far to much negativity in these type of forums, what about the good things we like about or trucks? Let me see a list of positives!!
Let me start..............

>It has a wonderfull ride with the IFS & IRS.
>It hauls many people around comfortably(in my case 8)
>The powertrain is wonderfull, the 5.4L has plenty of get up and go it tows 8 thousand + pounds.
>The interior is really nice and laid out well, personally I have had no problems with squeeks and rattles and the build quality is 2-3 notches abouve that of a tahoe or durango. The only complaint I have is the miserable cloth on the seats of my XLT trim.

> Overall I would not trade this for any other Suv it has the most complete package of any full size ute that I have seen including the toyota's....

What you guys have to say on a positive note??

I've owned mine for five years, and it has yet to catch on fire!

I had a 2000 for two years and did mostly highway driving. Very happy with the entire vehicle, I dare to say that it is my favorite out of everything I have owned. It drove and acted like a truck but it was a truck.

I always thought the lower suburban would get better mileage then guess what, the 03 comes out and with lls it's 6 inches lower in 2wd then sits up nice and high when you need it in 4wd.

Now my 03 is my favorite vehicle. Hope to have it for a long time.

Know what else. every new car has problems. My boss has a brand new BMW 5i and it has issues. Mostly electrical or computer related.

So whatever you get you're going to have to fix something. It's the nature of mass production.

just my 2c

Even though I put up with alot of non-sense part failures, I LOVE IT and would not trade it for any other vehicle........... ALTHOUGH........................................ the wifes new BMW 745Li (picked it up 2 days ago) is an unbelievable vehicle. Maybe I would tade it for one of those but................................Nah.......... It'll just get stuck in the snow. I know I will be pullin her out of the snow this year.

Good Point Deep Blue. I have always been a foreign car fan, and the Expedition was the 1st Domestic. We bought a 2000 EB, and loved it. The only reason I got rid of it was issues I was having with my back, and having to remove it for camping all the time. The fold flat rear seats are a greatest invention!!! We've only had it a few weeks now, and have a couple of minor rattles, that I'm hoping will get fixed at our 1st oil change! Other than that....awesome vehicle so far!! If this one holds up....I hope to keep it for a long time!!

The GVW is over 3 tons, which means it qualifies for a Section 179 deduction from the IRS for businesses = $38,500 worth of deductions on a $45,000 truck

I sure wouldn't trade the truck for anything else, even with the few flaws it has.

Just got my 2003 EB with the DVD player - it does wonders for a 3 year old. Now I am willing to drive anywhere for a vacation.

The awesome seating sold me. (speaking of the 2003 model) Comfortable, 3 point belts on all positions, headrests, nice leather (XLT) & multi-configurable!

Coming from an Excursion it's like I went to a different manufacturer!

I am a fan of the IRS now. I've put it through its paces here on the Big Island! Smooth on road, capable off-road (within reason, it's no rock crawler )

2 thumbs up for Ford with this one. Well thought out. 'Cept for the dude who designed the brake pads.

This is the kind of talk I like to see.

The best part about my truck? It lacks many features that come standard with Chebbies - no squeaks, grunts, groans, rattles, whizzes, whirrs or snorts coming from under the good. No squeaks, rattles, etc. coming from the body panels. No funky noises coming from anywhere.

Overall, I'm very pleased.

My 98 was great except the handling,if they'd come out with a 4X4 lowering kit before last Nov 23rd,I'd put the lowering kit in with front and rear Hotchkis stabilizer bars and kept it,but my '03 is much better all around except for the joke of a sound system I refer to as the audioPILE. Ido wish I'd gotten the heated and cooled seats ,and I'd prefer it had real metal bumpers, but it's going to take something extra special to get me to seriously consider parting with this one, like if they build the 550 HP Lightning concept truck in a couple of years.

Sorry, but I just can't find anything worth bragging about on my 03---no, wait, after 5 months, the paint is still on the vehicle.
