I'm just finishing up a new build (56 F100). I am posting here because I am running a 93 5.0 (carbed) and a 93 AOD. I'm hoping you guys might have some pointers for me.
I am running a brand new Autometer speedo. Using interweb calculators I installed a 20 tooth speedo gear. I have 3.73 gears and 29" tires. The AOD speed sensor is all electric (two wire, no cable).
The speedo is showing less than 50% of actual speed. 60mph will show as 25 mph. I'm looking for suggestions on diagnosing the problem.
EDIT:
I just realized that the sensor is the type with both a cable and speed sensor. I assume it can go both ways (electronic and cable driven)? this style..
