So in preparing for winter I am going through my GP's and replacing any that are needed. My WTS light isn't staying on as long as it should (about half as long), so am thinking I have a plug or two burned out. If not I an thinking I will just switch it to a manual push button so I don't have to worry about the controller etc.
If I remember right it is as simple as running a wire from one of the controller posts through a push button to ground. Is that correct? If so, which one?
I did a search, but didn't come across a thread that specifically lays it out.....although it could be that I just search right. Thanks
I decided that using power to trigger the solenoid was better, if it runs through the fuse pops instead of triggering the solenoid and burning up plugs.
I ran a ground wire to the intake, ran power through a switch from the fuse panel.
Edit: if you trigger it by ground you have to run a supply wire as well.

I was looking around and found the pic below. In the tread it said all I have to do is add a push button to ground the post with the white wire.
Also, with your setup you are just manually sending a small 12v signal through the switch to the controller relay to tell it to close? Is this in case the push button shorts/grounds out it won't constantly run the plugs because it will blow the fuse first, correct?
As far as running a power source for the 12v trigger side of the relay, couldn't you just leave it as is and it should get power when the key is turned to the on position?

12v to the solenoid, my controller was toast so I removed all the wiring for it to clean up the area.
I believe you are correct that you could just ground it. I forgot that the controller grounded the solenoid to trigger it.
