I had mine in a few a months ago for the same thing. They ordered an APIM but weren't aware they're all the same and thought the factory sent them one for a Mustang. I remember telling the service writer they should all be the same and just need to be programmed. She said no and I went on my way as they tried to order "the correct APIM". Guessing the tech hooked it up, and when the truck was started the Mustang logo was the default. I got a call back 2 days later from her telling me I was correct and apologizing. No biggy, just be aware not all dealerships are tech savvy and they might have to fumble through it a bit to get caught up.
Thank you bridge. Service manager told me that the apim is vin specific and would have to be built for my truck and it takes a week. He also told me i wouldn't need a speedometer calibration if i put 35's on my truck because he went from 18's to 20's and his speedo is still on.

Your service manager is assuming [naively or through ignorance] that because he/she may have kept the same tire circumference in switching from 18 to 20 inch wheels, you and others will have no problems with tires that have a larger or smaller tire circumference, based on tire height.
How anyone can be a service manager and not understand elementary geometry is rather shocking.
So another update. Took my truck in yesterday. They had it for 4 hours service manager called and said they had the new apim installed but didn't have the software downloaded because fords website was down. Come to find out they have the new one and had not taken the old apim out because fords website was down. Couldn't leave my truck overnight because I needed to tow my dump trailer this morning and the enterprise f150 they loaned me didn't come with a receiver. Been a very frustrating ordeal for me.
I've had the same problems with lagging screen, voice command wont work, I get only partial list of saved places.
Dealer has done several master resets, I did the reset of opening door, closing door for 2 minutes, I stuck my left foot in and shook it all about. Still nothing. Last week dealer tech installed new module, still problems exist. Back to the dealership. It's frustrating as this is an ecpensexp option.
This is a problem that FORD has no clue on how to fix. It is across the line! Suggest you notify pursuant to your states Lemon Law requirements. I certainly am next week when I take my 18 Platty in for this after waiting 6 weeks for an appointment. Had several vehicles bought back with Lemon Law and a others on courtesy buy backs over the last 35 years. Ford has no fix and is clueless about the long term solution SO I am going to get mine bought back if they cannot fix it within the allotted attempts. Very frustrating and the only way to get Fords attention is through the pocket book. Make sure and send the letter IAW the instructions in the Warranty Book.... Should have known better than to try another Ford.
