1947 cab mounting blocks

I have refurbished the front and rear blocks and fitted new bolts etc, but am confused as I have what I think are extra blocks directly under the seat front mounting area . However there is not hole in the cab floor to pass a bolt through but there is a hole in the chassis. There was a block sitting in this position unfixed for 71 years which I find amazing. As it stands at the moment there are six bolts in total holding the cab to the chassis So, could someone clarify please if the hole in the cab was not made all those years ago or if the blocks should not have been fitted?

I found the same thing on mine. The new kit came with 6 blocks, but only 4 had been used. The holes you refer to are just like mine- undrilled and unused. Is that a problem? I have no idea nor did I install the blocks.

I recently looked at mine when i blasted and painted the bottom of my cab. The blocks look to be held on by metal tabs that are nailed into the blocks. They do not have bolts thru them. 6 wooden blocks were used. hope that helps

Question cab mounts

Paul would you happen to have a pic showing the cab mounts on the frame. Mine were completely gone when I pulled cab. Thanks

I only have a picture or two. The first one is the long piece, front side. The others are from the back and I guess I didn't take pictures of the new ones.
