I'm considering adding some leds to accent my grill and was wondering if anyone has done it yet or maybe knows someone who has. I'm looking for a picture so I can get an idea of how it looks.
An aftermarket company makes a raptor style grill for the super duty. It is fairly expensive though and I don't think it looks very good unless it is painted. https://www.ebay.com/itm/11-16-Ford-...-/291867044414
I would love to find one that is back lit, but I think that something would have to be fabricated...I like the ones that I see on GMC trucks around my arear where the GMC is lit up in white. They look sweet.
I have a Baja Designs set of lights that are an exact fit inside our grill.
it puts out a crazy amount of light! I like it because it's not noticeable..
Im having difficulty posting a picture but here is a link with a picture of it in a SD.
So, I’m going to do something kinda like these but not in the same color, probably white
and I want to try and make only my platinum mesh bars light up.
My recommendation would be to use the roll of lights. The can be cut to most any length you need and come in a few colors.

I used these to make puddle lights on the rocker panel that light up when I open the door. You would just need to wire them to a switch or to your parking lights.
to get the mesh to light up your probably going want to attach them to the header panel on top and bottom behind the grille. Or to the back of the grill itself facing the condenser. However if you do that I would recommend plugs be installed so you can remove and install the grill without having to rewire them everytime.

Yeah, I did the puddle lights on my running boards too. I got a couple of led strips from Walmart to use for mach up but it's proving to be a bit more complicated than I was anticipating. so far I've trimmed some the black plastic behind the bars and I think I can get it to work but I need some better fitting lights and I may try and cap off the back of the bars. I also tried them on the panels behind the grill on top and bottom, I may end up putting them there because I like the way that looks. Either way my plan is to do amber on top and white on bottom plugged into the running lights and then with the headlights on it should look like an amber and white strip of light that's perfectly even with running/head lights.
