I’m working on some little fixes today. I need a window crank handle ****. I received a couple from LMC. They’re incorrect. I tried Dorman -no joy. Anyone have a source for new stock replacement?
I bought the same **** in black from LMC and had the same issue. I can't speak to whether it was the wrong crank or not as my truck came with a lot of swapped parts. I ended up picking up a complete crank at the wrecking yard.
I think you have the incorrect or already have aftermarket handles on your truck. The **** you ordered looks correct, yea just not for YOUR handles. IMO if you do not have a JY near by, where you can get any one off a 73-79 truck, just get a reproduced one that is complete handle and ****.

FoMoCo did not supply the clear plastic ****, it was only available with the handle. Ranger XLT & Lariat used different window cranks than Custom/Ranger.
Thanx all. The handles are original. I did find a correct shaped **** on the net yesterday. Though the place only stocked black ones. Still on the search.

Just an FYI interesting fact about my factory window crank, my factory plastic **** doubles as a turkey call. I find myself playing the tune at every red light. The squawk it makes by rolling it quickly with my finger sounds exactly like a turkey call. Anybody else's???
This is actually kinda funny, but ridiculous. Sorry to get my own thread off track. But how do you describe the thing that lets me open house my front door? I call it a door ****. What do the censor kooks call it? And how do I adjust my truck radio? What are those things called?
Re censorship, it may be the work of a robot that claims some degree of artificial intelligence. Door ****, Door *****, window ****, window *****, knobby knees, but what if I type door ****, window **** and nobby nees?
