Side step suggestions

Still havent ordered a truck, still shopping and thinking about what i would want. I think id like a wheel to wheel side step for my future truck so i could easily reach a side opening tool box in the bed. Does anyone have a suggestion? I think i want to order the xlt premium package but the factory running boards will have to go. I know some like them but they arent for me. I do a ton of snowy driving in the waterfowl season and im in the woods and cornfields all fall so they gotta be tough. I dont think the power steps would be the solution for me.

For whatever reason I can't get a pic to upload but I got the Amp Research fold down step. It works nicely and folds up and out of the way when you don't need it.
