Just bought a new f250 6.2 gas and I’m going to be plowing with it and wondering what you guys think is a good maintenance plan, the deal said to just go off the book but I’m looking to keep this truck a long time it’s not a every day driver I will probably do 10000 miles a year if that. I plan on doing oil every 5000 but my question is the rest of the maintenance. Thanks
I use fluid film too - and I plow with my F-250. But I buy it in bulk - one gallon paint cans. I bought the Fluid Film air sprayer and bottles...hook to a compressor - spray the underside of the truck each year before winter.
I don't do anything special for maintenance on my truck - oil change every 5k miles, everything else on schedule.
I had mine undercoated at the dealer to try and preserve it. I guess time will tell if it was worth it.
Fluid film or Krown rust proofing are good choices to do it yourself.
I didn't care for the fact Krown and Fluid film accumulate dirt underneath. Still think it's great protection though.
