Well aren't you just the most brilliant person on the planet.
For your edification I just lost my truck to this fire {not a picture I found on line} and I have had things I needed to deal with. I lost several thousand dollars of clothing, watches, computers tools fuel etc... So forgive me if I was dealing with other issues and my family and not replying to this thread.
For others there were no injuries just my pocketbook. I stopped a a rest area on I-55 in Mississippi and went to the restroom. I left the truck running and when I returned the cab was filling up with smoke. The smoke was a light grayish brown color and it smelled electrical. The smoke was coming out of the vents in the cab and out of the grate in front of the windshield around the windshield wipers. I turned off the engine opened the hood saw no evidence of smoke the "B" pillars were not hot nor was the floor under the mats. To stave off comments it only took me seconds to check these things.
Very quickly fire erupted from the dash and then the floorboards. I pulled out a few things but the fire just exploded and I got away soon things started to explode like batteries oil filters and with over 120 gallons of fuel I got way back.
The Al skin started vaporizing within just a few minutes and in 20 minutes it was just leaving the frame drivetrain bumpers and aux tank.
I am just trying to find out if anyone knows of this happening to other trucks, I have heard rumors of this happening to 2015 & 2016 but nothing solid.
Just so you know I will not even ride in a GM product and this is my sixth powerstroke and I have seven other F-150's since 1991. Not to mention several Mustangs, T-Bird a 56 Crown Vic with a 312"Y" block a 67 F-100 that ran low 10"s.
Out of simple curiosity, were there any aftermarket electronics on/in the truck? Phones charging or the like?
Not looking to move blame away from Ford, but surprised that something like this could/would happen with protected circuits (assuming it was in fact an electrical fire).
Only other 2017+ superduty I've heard of going up in flames, without external influences, was one of Ford's test mules. Sounds like maybe it started in the HVAC. I wanted to say maybe the supplemental heater, but it also sounds like the truck was warm and probably not that cold in Mississippi. Blower motor? Smoke coming out of the front grates leads me to think it wasn't spinning, if it was it'd probably have sucked most of it in?
Damn, sorry man. That sucks and will be a long road to get back from.
I always carry a fire extinguisher with me but damn, dont think it would have helped.
If anyone does carry one, be sure it covers car fires. Maybe it would have helped in this event, maybe not. Even if you never need it for your truck, might save a life in another vehicle.

Aftermarket electric installs or cell/cpu chargers/batteries have caused a lot of fires. Rodent nests start there fair share as well, would be my next guess.
Far as Ford's parts....nothing I've seen or heard.
Wow!
That really sucks...
OP, until your claim is completed, you may limit details given online... Not that you’ve done anything wrong.
I hope you get settled quickly and painlessly.

I commented previously, you may want to run some google searches and see what they pull up. I believe there have been a few fires, but where the fire originated, unsure. I will say that the 2015 F-150 & up, and the 2017 Super Duties and up have same bodies. Both trucks have had their share of electrical glitches, gremlins or malfunctions, with all the new Tech in the trucks. But most of those issues seemed only to cause malfunctions from dash to harnesses to modules.
As far as the comments, I certainly believed your posts, and could only imagine everything you possibly had going on.
Sometime the fan boys get ahead of themselves and start assuming.....
Anyways best of luck to you, Buddy.
