Brake controller quit working on my 2017f350 but works fine on my 2015 f350. No fault warning ,all light test are perfect except the recharge battery post on 7 way plug didn’t work I changed 30 amp fuse ,no difference . Breakaway works fine and everything is perfect with 2015?
You don't charge you trailer batteries while driving down the road? You should have 12v to at the trailer connector as long as the key is ON.
Yes, I do charge the trailer batteries. But the truck has a "feature" that won't start power flowing to the trailer until AFTER the brake pedal has been pressed after you connect the 7 pin (and the engine is on I believe). I've tested this on mine and it will NOT start just because you connect the 7 pin. This question/issue comes up quite a bit on the 2017+ subforum.

Interesting, I wonder what the thought was regarding this "feature"? Pin 4 is the 12v I believe.
