When temperature difference between coolant and oil temp ist more than 15 degrees, would a Restore flush with a coolant system cleaner from Fleetguard still Help? Give IT a try or is IT waste of time and Money?
IT is a 2006 f250 with 127.000 Miles
In my opinion, the only thing that will help your deltas is to replace the oil cooler. Will the restore help? In short, yes. But it won’t fix the problem.
I had this same same issue recently. I knew my oil cooler needed to be replaced so I went ahead and did an entire coolant system flush with both restore and restore plus while the old oil cooler was in it. That way anything that got knocked loose would get stuck in the old oil cooler and not my new one. Then I installed a coolant filter and continued to run it for a few hundred miles before I finally had the oil cooler replaced. The restore and restore plus cleaned out a ton of crap. There was a huge amount of stuff coming out of the coolant and lodged in the filter.
So as you can see, I recommend it. But do it before you replace the oil cooler, but replace the oil cooler. Since Ive done it I now run a 1 degree delta around town and about 4-5 degrees while on the freeway at 70. That’s with the external temperatures running around 75 right now.
Will it help? Not necessarily. If while doing the flush particles are broken free that will clog the intake port of the oil cooler it can make it worse. That was an early lesson when the system was flushed after a new cooler was installed following the initial Ford service procedure.
If after flushing you do a reverse flush of the oil cooler it may restore some of the functionality, but it may require several extensive flushes to work at all.

are you talking about the Egr Valve or the Egr Cooler ? You don’t have to have a dash light on to store a code, so if you pulled a Egr valve code we need to know what code it is , could be that it was disconnected which will add a different code than say the valve is not functioning correctly , which could be it needs cleaning or replaced,
your Egr Cooler will burst giving a white misty smoke out the tail pipe , you can pull the Egr valve and look down in the intake for coolant ,
please define your Question.thanks
