Depends on the year, either 2 or 3 bolts per side. The early ones with return line will wrap around the back and should have a regulator bolted on somewhere. In a van the regulator is on the back where you can get to it easily with the doghouse removed. Also the rigid fuel line will be stuck into a bracket that is bolted down, and connects to the fuel rail with a pressure fitting that requires the "Ford fuel line tool". They mean for the fuel rail to stay where it is and not flop around.
Once everything is unbolted, all that holds the fuel rail on is the O-rings squished into the holes. It may be stuck on there with varnish and mouse pee but it will jiggle loose easily if everything is unbolted.
Replace ALL the O-rings before reassembling.

I removed the 6 bolts but it was still held tibht. I'll give it another try, just don't need a broken/bent rail.
