My 2017 6.7 F250 with 11k miles just tonight started having an issue with the transmission. I put it in gear and it takes about 10 sec before it kicks into gear. Tonight I backed up in my driveway (downhill). I did not realize it did not go into reverse until I got to the bottom and it suddenly jumped into gear. then when I put it into drive the same thing happened. There is a very long wait before it actually selects the gear. I totally shut down, opened and closed the door and started back up but it still did the same thing. Anyone else had something like this happen?
I have the exact same issues going on. Mine only acts up on an incline. I took it to Ford last week and they dismissed it as nothing wrong. I’m just going to use it until it breaks I guess
Mine did this when level as well. Forward and reverse gears. Once going it seems to go through the gears but when I stop it does the same thing. It takes a number of seconds before I can pull away from a stop.
Keep taking it in and have them pull transmission codes and test until they can repeat it. I haven’t heard many transmission issues, seems fairly rare. There is a thread on this but only in reverse, not drive.
My '17 was an early build that was affected by the transmission recall. I ended up having to get my transmission rebuilt. I think it was corrected by the end of 2016. You guys don't have one of those trucks, do you?
You are at 11,000 miles It's under warranty. Take it in to the dealer and get it documented that it is having problems.
The dealer may find the problem. But if not, You have documented that you are having problems if it persist in the future.

Yes mine is an early 17 as well. Think it was Aug or Sept 2016 model but I have not seen any recall for it save the door handles.

You may want to look into that. It is an easy fix. I'm pretty sure it was defective fittings on the cooler lines or something to that effect. There is a thread on here about the transmission recall. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ms-recall.html

Had it towed to ford as when I put it in D it is stuck in 5th gear. I added some fluid but no change. Also saw the battery acid leaking issue. Ford said they will lok at that and also the door handle recall
