Still working on my '64 F100 wipers. Picked up a couple wipers from AutoZone and in the process broke one of the plastic J hooks on the end of the wiper arm. Do these hooks need to be replaced when using a different wiper? Where do I find these hooks? Thanks again guys. Chief

"J" hook is one of the baziilion mounting systems in aftermarket wiper install. It is the most common type as it is easy. The J hook should come with new wipers but the factory arm has to be able to recieve them.

Must be my wiper arms are aftermarket as there is a plastic J hook on the end of the arm that just snaps onto the metal arm. Guess I will return the wipers I got from Autozone and get a pair that come with a compatable mounting system. Thanks
17526 in the lower left of the pic ND posted shows what I see as screw hole mounting. The dotted line that goes to the wiper lines up with what I would call the J hook as well. If your J hook does slide over the metal arm and click in place then that is correct. I have never installed wipers on my slicks as they are yard and garage ornaments it seems lol. My parts truck has the chrome metal wiper blade on it which may be original. Back in the day you did not replace the whole wiper blade, just the rubber squeegie.
Got the right wipers from Autozone, They don't use the J hooks so you have to remove them and the wipers snap over the end of the wiper arms. Now if I could only get them to stop!
