Question outside temp sensor for overhead readout

i have a 97 explorer with the digital compass/outside temp display over the mirror. does anyone know where the temp sensor is located? any kind of description of what it looks like (or even a picture) would help a lot.

If u look under the vehicle between the front bumper and the readiator on the drivers side lower corner of the radiator there is a wiring harness that dead ends. The sensor is plugged into the connector and is just sort of hanging loose. My son has a 95 and I have a 00 and it is in the same place on both. I am sure yours will be there also. The one on the 00 is sort of a nylon white color. If yours is not working correctly and before buying a new one, it may need to be unplugged and the terminals cleaned.
