4R75E issue

i have a 08 F150 with 122,000 miles. The trans “clunks” sometimes when upshifting or downshifting. Also it seems like the trans has a nasty shutter when back to the gas between 35-45 mph. These issues aren’t all the time but they are getting progressively worse. I have changed plugs and coil packs and nothing changed. Any suggestions as to the cause? Has anyone else experienced this?

thanks guys!!

Probably due for a fluid change.

The shudder sounds like the typical torque converter shudder this transmission series is known for when the fluid gets worn out.

Start there.

I can recall back when they said that this transmission did not need maintenance.
