239 water pumps?
thanks

See first entry below...
This 239 in the 53 we are doing running into an issue on the crank case breather tube. If I mount the one that I think is the one for it it hits the water pump pulley and the ear on it.
From what I have been able to gather is that this motor is not original to this truck. I am thinking it came out of a car and that's the reason for the different water pumps.

There are THREE different water pump pulleys, what is the width of the 'correct' fan belt?
The "before" picture below shows the draft tube in place. The "after" picture shows the pump.

I have a 54 239 ohv. As I can tell it’s the first year they made the 239 ohv and the 55 was redesigned heavy enough most parts are not interchangeable.
Been through the engine rebuilding it and it and I love this engine. Bearings seals ignition fuel etc... it screams.
This engine (no idea what it was in) is on a keystone drill rig. After everything the darned water pump went out.
I need it running till I am able to throw an old 302 in the rig and actually put the 239 in a truck.
Many parts are i terchangable from 54+ 292 I have learned but sadly the water pump isn’t one.
I live in alaska and yards are are scarce and crush anything older than 90s. Old vehicles have a tough life up here. No parts store can even find this engine. Not sure what it came out of but everything I have found points toward a 54 f100.
I am at my wits end with partchasing, about to try a 292 timing chain cover to use an easier to find pump (I’d rather not) if even possible.
Is is there a way to find out application from a lookup source this old? Or does someone know other applications for this waterpump?
EDIT: I guess I should say this engine was in the rig when I bought it, and at the time I had no idea what it was. What a gem!
The shaft & bearings are kind of universal, I think, they just have to cut to length. A good rebuilder should be able to do this, I'm not up on all the details though. But it shouldn't be a big deal.

Same applications as above + 1954 Ford 239 Passenger Cars.
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has the pump or the kit, none on ebay.
"I'll recommend a call to Commercial Water Pump Rebuilders in Houston, TX. I spoke with John Hudson. (713) 864-5199 He had me text him a picture of my pump to be sure of what I needed. That picture was sufficient for him to know exactly what it was. It takes a different bearing from the other pumps, and I had a very hard time finding them until I called John. They trimmed the shaft on an off-the-shelf bearing to fit my needs and sold me a rebuild kit for a very reasonable price. It has a new style seal that is an improvement over the older designs. They will also rebuild your pump if you ship it to them.
I will gladly do business with them again.
The 292 was a 56(possibly a 57) out of a 1.5 ton truck. This will work for now until pulled. I will update if I run into issues during install tomorrow night. If it goes smooth, it could help others not worried about keeping it original.
