i know this is an old thread but i disabled the auto stop for FREE and thought i'd share.
what i did was take a bubble gum wrapper and folded it real small, then i pushed in the button to disable the auto stop/start, and wedged the wrapper in. This basically keeps the button pushed down permanently. i have had this in for months with no issues.
lmao
My 2012 had a wobbly rear view mirror that drove me nutz. Rather than fixing it, even though I could have under warranty, I took a business card, tore off a corner, and wedged it up in @ the top. Didn't bother me again! I traded that truck in 2 Saturdays ago. I did pull it out after they appraised it lol.

If you want to make it "professional", you should run a bead of clear silicon around the button (while the gum wrapper is in there). Then, when the silicon is cured, you can extract the gum wrapper. Finally, squirt a little more silicon into the space where the wrapper was.

Has anybody tried to disconnect BMS at the Negative Post on the battery its the 2 wire Connector a black and red wire It disables Start/Stop and the BMS system.
Or just hit the button after starting the vehicle or when you notice the engine shuts off at a stop light or stop sign 🛑.
That is a solution, but there must be something that causes people to totally dislike this feature and want it OFF permanently. Why do I state that, I'm one of those people. But there must be many of us. I've been reading that even Ford dealers are stocking "Auto Stop Eliminator" and installing it (For a charge) for customers that are like that. Its probably only a minority of customers that dislike it, however looks like there is money to be made eliminating it.
Stop and go traffic and areas with closely spaced traffic lights trigger 2 second engine stops and repeated on/off cycles. Unless the engine is off for 10 seconds or more it isn't saving gas. I'd like to have the default be "off".

I really doubt that Ford dealers are “stocking” those Auto Stop Eliminators and is also installing them on customer vehicles.
With that being said, I can understand your frustration with this feature.
