I ordered from faxonautolit . I picked them up at PO today.
What I received looks like unused original service/shop drawings. Each page indicates "Electrical Systems 1978 F-600-800 Cab" , total of 4 sheets,8 pages .
Each sheet is 25" x 12.5"
I think they are as good as it gets with respect to 40 year old drawings.

The only reference to a tachometer is "Tachometer Illumination Lamp".
There is no mention of governor on any sheet.
The right side of sheet 3 shows a block device called "Throttle Actuator" but looks to be related to "carburetor throttle emission control solenoid"

Is the governor information your looking for engine speed or vehicle speed related? Just curious.

Engine speed only. It electrically controls a vacuum gizmo on carb. My wiring diagrams are exactly like yours.Based on a statement Bill (number dummy) made a few days ago I thought my points & cond. distributor was a incorrect replacement from years past . My neighbors 78 F700/361XD has the same carb; same ponts & cond. dist; same electronic gov; & electric tach. !!
I would like to add a electric tach. to my 78 F600/389 XD. That's why I think some extra information is missing from my complete wiring diagrams. Made a tour of my favorite junk yard this week hoping to find wiring harness, tach; & bezel etc. but all I found were several mechanical tachs.. one cab had the electronic gov. box & wiring like mine but no tach.
