Hi all,
So I have a 1995 F150 Supercab, 4x4, with the 5.0 and the AODE. My issue is when I put it in to gear, I am not always matching up with letter on the column. I know I need to be a bit to the left of the letter and I try my best to feel the little bump for reverse, then neutral, overdrive, etc etc but to be honest that little click feels like it's getting lesser and lesser.
Is there a cable to adjust? Or is there a selector arm that needs to be replaced after 270 some odd thousand miles? Everything drives and shifts fine with no flashing of the overdrive light or any symptoms of a transmission issue so I am hoping this is a simple inexpensive adjustment/fix.
There is a small cable that actuates the indicator from the shifter. Pretty sure there is a threaded nut you can adjust. Pull dash panel and maybe even the column cover, find the little cable.
See the little nut on the lower end of cable? Moving it will adjust the needle.
