Been meaning to replace this cracked dash pad forever. Couldn't find any info online. I removed the glovebox, climate control, and vents and still couldn't get to all the nuts to remove the pad. So I busted out the angle grinder and grinded the spot welds and popped the old one right off. Installed some plastic anchors on the hard to reach spots and popped the new one right on. Just thought I would share because this made a very annoying job very, very easy.
Before These two nuts behind the glovebox were easy Cut the foam to access hard to reach nuts plastic anchor for the hard to reach nuts Finished
I’m so confused. I want to do this process but I’m not following the steps clearly. so you cut the dashboard in the spots where the bolts were, you removed the bolts, then what ? I’m not following how you would attach the new dash pad, or how you used those anchors and where.

And what do you mean by the “hard to reach” bolts ? Which ones are you referring to?
It has been a while but you should be able to access the fasteners by removing the glove box and radio. Remove the screws from the HVAC controls and let it hang out of the way.
I Just replaced mine today. What a PITA. I had to drill out the two that couldn't be reached to the right of the HVAC controls through the front side after cutting away the vinyl and foam. I got a replacement from LMC to install. I was able to get a nut on the stud closest to the right side of HVAC by super glueing the nut to my finger to start it. I am contemplating drilling an access hole in the glove box to reach the nut just about the sunglasses shelf, but I may just skip that one.
