HELP! NO POWER!

I bought a 2008 f-250 with about 140,000 miles on it and a 2 year warranty a month ago. I have never owned a diesil before and have been LOVING the power up till last weekend. On the way out to my parents house it ran great! I had all the power that I could hope for no matter the speed I was traveling at. Overtaking people on the highway was a breeze. It's about 60 miles round trip. On the way home on the other hand I noticed that the truck was a bit slower getting up to speed and then while running at 60mph I tried to over take a slow driver and my truck had NOTHING. It shifted down and got radlly loud but no power. I couldn't over take them.

On another occation in town I tried to over take someone and the truck luched on me. Like it almost died intermittently on and off for about 20 sec.

Any ideas?

I've never had a diesel but that exact thing has happened to me a couple times and it was a fuel filter both times.
