Question Conversion

Howdy folks

Its almost 2:30 in the morning. Just an ice breaker as it were.
Anyways, I have a 1981 with the 300 4.9L in it. It has recently been taken out and will be replaced with a 302 or a 351W. Does anyone know if the "k" member has to be changed. As it looks as of now the mounting for said engines should match up. I am also going to put a Borg Warner T-18 behind it. Again does anyone know or think or have any idea if I would have to create an adapter for relocating the tranny mount. It has the original 9" in it.

Thank you for reading this and any info anyone might be able to give me

no as long as you're going 2wd to 2wd or 4wd to 4wd then you're ok with the crossmember for the transmission.

I'd also recommend keeping the 300, BUT if you're dead-set on a Bent-8 go with the 351. You'll actually notice a loss in driveability if you go to a 302 as it has less torque.
