As it says,Ford filters failed me again. The little bleed hole in the primary fuel filter didn't have the bleed hole punched threw and most likely trapped air in the fuel system causing the injectors to starve for fuel. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. I still haven't heard back from Ford about the oil filter issue yet so I know this one is going to fall on deaf ears again. I will make a stink at the dealership and tell them I want a call from corporate, will it happen? We shall see. I wish I saved the old box for the run number, but it's long gone. I think I bought the other one at the same time but I can't be sure. I on my way to the dealership now and will have the filters with me. I'll fill y'all in on the outcome.
I had one in stock, that's how I knew it was a screw up. Just got back from Ford dealer and they said I have to send in the complaint with corporate. I'm hoping this is all the damages done and I can get away with just this injector. Coincidence, maybe. Somehow I don't think so. I just found the bill and they where purchased thou diesel filters on line. The oil filter was at Walmart.
The filters in general over the last year have drastically changed in quality. Twice I have found the filter not bonded to the plastic caps on the oil filters.
They may have changed suppliers. I use a Wix for my oil, but still use the ford fuel filters. Good reason to run a fuel gauge to catch something like this.

playing with danger on the Wix , for one they do fall apart , they don’t have the microns that Oem has , so letting more unfiltered oil through, the hole in the hfcm filter is used for the water separator , no bearing on fuel pressure .

The stock filter housing is empty, bpd cooler/remote oil filter, I swear it's 2 quarts. Wix has always been one of the better brands for spin on filters.
