That`s one of the bad things about SYNC / MFT, it`s not capable of supporting newer technology and one of the reasons Ford went to SYNC 3 which came out on the F150`s starting with the 2016 model year. The best thing that you can do is upgrade your system to SYNC 3 but it`s not cheap to do.

LOL......Don`t get mad because all is not lost.
When you have time, go on YouTube and look up 4D Tech. They have videos showing what`s required and needed for the conversion from SYNC 2 / MFT to SYNC 3 and it can be done by you in your driveway. They also have a website where you can purchase the parts but there are members on here who can sell you the same system for quite a bit less than 4D Tech.
I hope this info helps you out.

Ah, if you recall in the other post of yours, I said I would never consider a 2015, only the 2016's and above because it has Sync 3 which uses Android Auto or iPhone. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that one, but I love Android Auto on my 2016. The Waze works flawlessly and it appears on my big 8 inch touch screen.

I have a '15 with the MFT as well. Wife has Stync3 in her Edge. Personally I wouldn't bother with upgrading. I can't stand her screen. I end up turning it off when I'm driving her car. Nothing but an 8" screen of distraction. I was taught how to read a map. I don't need no stinkin' navigation.

I don't even need the optional navigation system on my Sync 3 when I can just plug in my phone and use Google Maps or even Waze. My friend's wife has the older Sync 2 in her Explorer, she definitely wasn't happy when she played with my Sync 3.
She was also amazed at how my phone worked well with my F-150.

don't you just miss the days when the options were colour, auto / std. a/c or not, radio or not, if radio AM only or AM / FM, power brakes and steering. That was the big list there were no other choices unless you went high end models.
On trucks the wipers worked on the vacuum system which meant they only worked when you let off of the gas. Batteries were often 6 volt, the starter switch was a pedal on the floor and hi / lo was a button on the floor and trans. were manuals with maybe a split axle. Heaters and defrost was so / so and you had to stick frost shields on the inside of the windows or seeing out was a challenge. Best of all you could rebuild an engine in your drive way if necessary.
