97 F350 7.5 EFI Acceleration jerking
My truck recently started acting up. It's jerking from a take off like stop, go, stop, go. It's like someone toggling a cut off switch, it's that jumpy and seems to be getting worse. It's not giving any code right now but, I'll usually get a P0171 from it but never had this problem. Filter good, getting 1 new pump for rear tank. I'm not sure if it's electrical or fuel, any suggestions?
Thank you, MSP

Your issue could be electrical or it could be fuel. My 5.8 ran like that when the plug wires were burnt. Check your fuel pressure at idle, when you increase the throttle and then see if it holds pressure when the engine has been shut off. I don't remember what the 7.5 should have for fuel pressure but I think it should be 35-42 lbs. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in.
If your fuel checks out then it is likely electrical. Unfortunately I have so limited knowledge of electrical issues and troubleshooting them that I won't be much help.
