Monsta, my '03 had the rear end rumble when cold in sharp turns at about 1200 miles. I changed the rear diff fluid and add the friction modifier as the manual specifies. The noise stopped. There is way to check for LS effectiveness by raising one rear tire off the ground, placing the trans in neutral and measuring the torque required to turn the wheel. I'm sorry but I don't know the spec. I plan on testing the LS on mine in a year or so.
