MRI is on the 7th unless a cancelation happens sooner. No clue on surgery. BSA this weekend and I hope to have a break for a month or so afterwards.
Just gotta keep plugging along.
Stray thought, has anyone heard about how Mt. Dewed is doing? I haven't been West of town since the fire.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Well, I just slipped over to the dark side when nobody was looking.
And traded in the Thunderbird for a Ford Sienna. Yeah I know Ford doesn't make the Sienna, but as soon as I find some blue oval badges, mine will be made by Ford.
10 years newer (but same mileage, go figure) working AC and cruise control, and all the accessories work. I am surprised at how many cup holders this thing has. It seats 8, not 7 (which was hard to find, for a price I could afford). Out the door with trade in included it will be $6,036.

As for the Toyota Sienna, wow what a difference it is to get in and out of compared to the Thunderbird. I wish I would have looked for one of these when I had my settlement money. However, I was so dead set against buying anything from Japan at the time (So I buy two unreliable Jaguars, and a POS Jetta, go figure LOL) It rides nice and smooth, the V6 even has more HP than the Thunderbird (215hp to 200hp) but weighs more (4,300lbs compared to 3,400lbs) and of course shaped more like a brick than the Thunderbird. I loved the Thunderbird, and hate to see her go, but the Sienna fits what I need now, especially with my leg getting worse. Today I cleaned the windows and found out the rear wiper had no rubber left, which explains that loud screeching sound when I try to turn on the headlights, but grab the wrong stalk. LOL. I'll get used to where everything is in time. Also replaced a blown right brake/tail light. The light tan (Desert Sand Mica according to Toyota) is not my favorite color, and I hate the bare bones steel wheels with hubcaps. but when I recover from the down payment (they only gave me $700 for my Thunderbird, and want $800 in 45 days!) I will look for some stock aluminum wheels for it, as well as a right brake light cover. I see them selling on eBay for $45 but I am sure I can find one in the local junk yards cheaper than that. I didn't want a 2006, I was hoping to get a 2004, which was blue, but that dealer wanted half down, and it only had seating for 7. This one seats 8.
I think that Toyota emblem in the grill is too big for a blue oval to cover, so I may have to just resign myself to driving a Toyota. LOL Only other emblem is on the steering wheel. I like the fact that everything works. Unlike the Thunderbird which started shutting down, first the Cruise Control, then the driver side Power Window, and finally the AC. Still I will miss it.The hood is the worst feature of the Sienna. Everything else is fine, save a small crease on right rear leading up to the broken tail light cover. The dealer put that red cellophane looking tape over it, and like I said, I replaced the bulb. I had my grand daughter press on brake while I was behind it getting ready to clean the window, and noticed it not working. That is also when I saw there was no rubber left on the wiper.
Anyway, even though it is not a Ford, I like it, and hopefully it will serve me well. It has the same mileage as mine, which is a bit disconcerting since it is 10 years newer, but It runs well, and straight and true with no rattles of any kind. I do wish it was the AWD version, but that would have raised the price, and this one is already at my limit to afford, so I will just be happy.
It was listed at $7995, but once the manager found out I was a veteran an living on a fixed income, he lowered the price to $5999. Took most of the day to find a bank willing to approve me, but he finally found one.
