Thanks for all the info and good advice everyone. I have washed engine bays many times and have always thought I had gotten all critical items covered before getting wet but everyone makes mistakes especially on newly owned vehicles.
Pirate4x4- thanks for the info....is it possible to buy a factory service manual? I'm curious to know what the fix for that error code is and I'd love to read more on the excursion
PrescottIce- I got rid of most of my screenshots I took but here is one i had saved with most of the errors.
Looks like most relate to the injection control pressure sensor or wiring. It's on the top of the motor, front of the driver's side head - the fuel pressure regulator line points almost at it. If it were me, I'd look at the sensor to ensure it isn't visibly cracked or broken, and remove the wire loom to inspect the wiring going to it back to at least the next junction in the harness. I'd bet it just got inadvertently drowned, but it's worth checking as they should be waterproof. They're expensive enough to want to troubleshoot, rather than just buy a spare in case it goes - depends on your budget and level of concern over another failure.
i bought my factory service manual book on ebay. CD’s are also svailable but i dont find them as useful , or maybe i should say not as easy to use.
the manual is 2 large books the wiring manual is a seperate book and the Emissions and powertrain control is another book.
even if you dont have to smog your vehicle the powertrain control is worth having because the manuals will refer you to it on how the engine managment stuff eorks.
