1979 Ford F150. 4" lift. I am installing the steering damper. Because of the lift it changes the angle of the stock mounting brackets. Anyone have a fix?
Below is a link for the kit I used. One mount clamps to the axle tube and one to the tie rod. Would work great for your set-up. Other option would be to fab a different bracket for the cross member to bring the shock body back down to the correct angle.
In reality, your angle is shallow enough you could get away with running the damper as is if you choose.
Your axle looks great! Did you do the rebuild on it?
I had a pro do it! Everything new.Axles, bearings, TruTrac and 4:88 gears.That is a 4" lift. Wished I would have gone bigger. Would like 38's on it.I did the rearend myself , has a new center and TruTrac, also 4:88 Axles,Seals and bearings.
