Innovation. Im old but like new tricks.Paddle shifting from your steering wheel as a example.Who would of thought ? Launch control,another example.

Non starter...they may be filing patents for clutch bits, but stick shifts are going away. Much more likely that this will be used later for a manual/automatic hybrid transmission, such as something that would be a manual transmission in at it's core, but completely electronically shifted and clutched.
