Door latch cover plate

Sooooo... after final paint (of course) I find that I didn't fill the original door latch holes. It's one of those forest/tree things I guess... I had this

I was thinking SS elevator bolts... John (56 panelford) suggested a nice cover plate. So, here's what my limited talent and dim wit came up with...

I had a hard time finding a piece of SS I wanted to buy so I did it in aluminum and polished on it
I think it needs a little more to finish it nicely. Cut it from a H.F. bondo mixing board. and epoxied
on the bolts ... looks pretty good to me.

I like it John. No matter how long and hard we plan these projects, there is always something we missed or would like done differently.
The goal is to get some miles on it, and let go of the rest. You must be itchin' to drive it by now.

I spent the day reworking my intake air plenum because I didn't like the way it looked with the filter in the engine bay. Luckily it does not involve repaint.

John, you are the reason I joned this forum in 2004.

I think you may have the market cornered on "patience". Your build has morphed a few times over the years. Waiting "impatiently" for your first drive video.
