I got the 8" drop bulletproof hitch. Total overkill for my current trailer but....Buy once cry once applies to this hitch. I was not cool using the sleeve as I think they are a bad idea. I was not sold on aluminum from a materials standpoint as aluminum tends to frett and wear faster than steel. The bulletproof hitch has a wide spread between the top and bottom pin which is better for handling loads. It is a monster and will easily handle anything my 350 can throw at it.
Went with the Weigh Safe, 8" drop. Looks like it will work with any trailer I have. Buying a new enclosed Motorcycle Trailer with tongue at about 16" high, 8" will work.
I bought the GEN-Y 21k, 9" drop for my F350 Platinum with 20" wheels. It rubbed a couple times on the curb when backing trailer, so I exchanged it for their 6" drop. Cost a few dollars for shipping but the 9" hung a little too low. Very happy with the 6" drop and the GEN-Y hitch. If I have a trailer that needs to be lower than the bottom position I just put one of my standard drop hitches in the appropriate position and I can have any drop or rise necessary. https://genyhitch.com/shop/21k-drop-hitch/
Pics always help...I ordered thru Amazon so that the pins are keyed the same. 6" drop
Same hitch I bought, also Amazon. Really liked the weigh scale and keying both pins the same. Pricey, but worth it for as often you buy an item like this, been 20 years since I had to buy a ball mount.
Are all you guys running without weight distribution?
I only use my Weigh Safe ball mount for my small trailers and around town with my RV trailer. When I'm headed out of town, I always using my WDH (Andersen).
On my 6.5' x 12' utility trailer, even on the 10" drop, the trailer is still 1-2" from being level. On some uneven and hilly terrain, ground I scraped the bottom ball. I found this out this weekend while towing the UTV a bunch. These trucks are really getting tall. This has be considering to lower the back and inch or so.

Don’t have a WDH on my construction cargo trailer. The trailer frame is Y shape as opposed to V shape.
never had an issue. I make sure my load is proper and I make sure the trailer is levelled. Always get a good laugh of guys towing theirs trailers with a 2-12” drop towards the back of the trailer (nose high) ...no clue!!!
