Source for Bedside Toolbox Cable, fasteners?

Source for Bedside Toolbox Cable, fasteners?
I've had no luck finding replacements for the retention cable that connects the door on my "tool storage box" to the box itself. IIRC, it's about a foot long, loops around a couple of screws to prevent the door from over extending when opened.
I would appreciate someone with the part to take a measurement of overall length, so I can make one, or let me know if some dealer still has one on a shelf.
