Any pictures of the lights mounted and up close? I plan on installing a deezee headache rack so could likely do the same as you have. Sounds like it was what I had in my head but curious how it looks.
This is one pic I already had showing the lights on my headache rack. They are mounted where the rack angles up. These strobes are very bright and you can change the pattern. They are also synchronized.
How much work do you want to do? With a DPDT relay, my cab top lights strobe. I drilled holes into my tail lamps and fog lamps to install cheap LED lamps and connected them to the same strobe circuit. Cheap LED in the lamp housing are not meant to project lighting, but rather illuminate for other people to see you. You can also drill into your headlights. You will need to drill into your dash for a toggle switch, and drill holes for wire runs.
Interesting alternative is that there are light bar controllers which also strobe. You can add LED lamps to the circuit and strobe all of them in sequence. Very inexpensive parts from China.

They look great, much better than a regular ol roof beacon. I’ll have to track down some similar strobes myself. I wanted a Magnum rack myself but getting them into Canada costs a fortune, looks fantastic.
Too bad about the import costs...the rack is great and they are made just across the border in Maine.
It really is sad but its a reality we live with up here. Truth be told things have only got worse in recent years due to politicians on both sides of the border anyway not much to be done about it besides search for stuff that has dealers up here in the cold north. The Deezee rack looks really nice and seems well built, and would also cost me much, much less so I think I can live with it.
Picture I found on the forum, after seeing one in person the rack doesn't clear the cab as much as pictures make it look.. might only be a inch or two.

I've found out that politics is not to be mentioned.........
What you could do is take a road trip across the border. Then install whatever you want before driving back. It could still be cheaper.
I had an old Explorer. There is a company which makes 3rd row seats with seat belts so that they are legal. I could have paid $$$XXX freight, and bolted them in myself. But taking a drive for a couple of hours, the company did the install free while I waited, and it still saved me what the freight shipping would have cost. We are not talking about a couple of stamps. Freight shipping is on a pallet, from dock to dock. If you don't have a loading dock at your house, and I did not have a loading dock in my 13th floor apartment overlooking The Bay, I would have had to pay a freight company to receive the item at their dock. Then figure out how to pick it up from them.....which just meant that I would have driven my pickup over there to load out. But the road trip was the perfect excuse for me to take a day off from work, take a ride out to the country, and eat prime rib @ Harris Ranch.

I really have thought hard about the headache rack but my black Lariat looks good as is and I'm worried it won't look as sharp with it for very sparing usage. That looks good on your truck though.
Has anyone used the Wicked "Universal Park Light Flash Kit" on the 2017+ yet? It looks like its not as easy as the mirror strobe install but still pretty straight forward. I've seen the videos on pre-2017 models.
There are also drop-in lights that strobe when you turn your lights on-off-on. I have a set in my van's headlight housing. The yellow lamp turns on & off as normal. While it is on, I can turn it off, then back on, it will strobe.
Strobesnmore has some nice thin lights that mount under the tailgate that provide great lighting to the rear. I also mounted one in each rear fenderwell, (with our rear fender opening being so large, there is plenty of room on the lip to mount). I mounted a couple behind the grille. I did however go with a headache rack for the sole purpose of mounting an additional light bar that has directional capability. For most of the installs I do for our fleet, for folks that aren't going to use the lights daily, the under tailgate lights work very well.
