Dana 44 diff replacement query.. will this one fit?
Hello all.
i have a 85 f100/f150 with a dana 44 front diff.
30 spline, 3.50 ratio.
I am looking at putting in a LSD as this one has come up close to home at the right price.. there doesn't seem to be too much info on these around the ford scenario.. listings do not show it fitting my car, but the specs seem around the same.
can someone please shed some light here and help me figure out if it'll fit or not?
The diff if question is an eaton truetrac 913a589
also model TT70P53082 or 53080?
pretty sure its this one

thank you in advance
I am getting different opinions on the internet of course, while the listings say specifically the one you want to use won't fit, people say these type of "lunchbox" lockers will fit.
Thanks guys for your input..
Upon further investigation, it turns out i already have an LSD setup in the diff.. Looks like a trac-lok setup.
SO i will go down the path of ordering a new clutch kit from the states and fixing what i have for 1/4 the cost of a replacement diff..
Here are some pics (not very good though) of what i have found.
and a link to what i believe is the suitable rebuild kit. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...0683&jsn=10683
