I have tunes from G.H. and they run decent. I bought tunes from another company and having issues getting them right. The new files idle rough and seems to run rough coming back to idle. I'm on the 3rd set of tunes and each set run differently. He is helping me out but it seems like people have issues getting this pcm correct. I do not feel my truck runs/tows as well as it should. I have 238/80 injectors with a 366sxe t4 that I just mounted.
I tow a Gearbox 375s toyhauler. Some say its 38' and some say 39'. It weighs around 17k. Truck is a 2000 f350 dually with an auto, 4.10's and 295 tires.
Yep, you're good to go. The DPC-432 is a 50-state PCM for use with a glow plug relay and the subsequent individual bank monitoring of glow plug command. Luckily, the pinout on the harness and PCM is the same but the DPC-422 won't even care about the extra inputs since the current-monitoring PCM pins aren't monitored.
As you're already aware, that's WAY too much trailer for that pickup anyway......but you gotta do what you gotta do.
"Work better"? No. It "works" the same. However, everyone seems to tune for VRAA6S3 (PMT1) so the aftermarket supports it better. Truthfully, you don't even have to change the PCM. PMT1 tuning works just fine on a FHP/WWV PCM.
That is the tuning I ran from php with my stock injectors and what I think gearhead ran on my stock injectors. When I installed the 238's gearhead sent me new tunes. Which I also believe are for that same code you mentioned.
