I also hate those A-pillar mounts for gauges---seems like a forward vision obstruction I can do without. I'm partial to two different gauge mounts from Auto Meter, one places a single or dual gauge right on the steering column (partially interfering with the standard instrument cluster) part number 15004 or one of their overhead consoles, part numbers 18016 18017, 18018.
I have one of the 15004 mounts and 18018, both unused and up for sale if interested. Not "cheap" but better than full retail.

Let me cruise my photos of these things in place---will be just a bit so be patient for a few hours.
FWIW Auto Meter does us E-Series owners a disservice listing so much of their compatible mounts as Dodge/Ram specific. A lot of the late 90's and 2000 F-Series fit our vans too.
Back in a bit!

Okay here's what I have but the triple pod is a stock image (left my camera somewhere have only a crappy cell phone image of the quad console, column mount is from a while ago. Each pod is new, uninstalled and ready to install. The column mount simply fits over top of the existing column but the ignition key cylinder does need to be temporarily removed. PM me if interested.
Thanks
