I have kinda been looking for a backup truck and I was checking out lots of 5.4s. But what happened is there is now a TON of higher mileage 6.2s showing up out there in pretty good shape for what seems like some good deals
so what I'm saying is somebody looking for a somewhat cheep truck may not need to go back before 2011
They won't...While searching for mine, I found plenty of 6.2 trucks that were pushing the 200k range for cheapish prices. I think the cheapest one I saw was around 10k. Which for a 7 year old truck is not bad at all. Most full size pickup trucks seem to depreciate to the 6-10k range, and then hold there for a few years till they are 15+ years old then continue to fall.
I hope I learn from this. I've been tempted to go out and sign my life away on a 35k SeaArk or G3 but I think I know better now.
i like my old coughin weezin smokin sneezing two strokes anyway
Haha, signed my life away on new boat a few years back. Only a 20k deal though...its a nice hole in the water to throw money into. Luckily, credit union financing allowed me to pay it off quickly.
Not to bring it back to the surface. I paid off my ride yesterday. The terms of the loan were to be paid off in March. An extra $25 month makes a huge dent knocking it out.
I should use the loan papers to start a fire in the fireplace. In some ways it is a good feeling. In other ways, eh. My plan now is to take the money or most of the money I was paying and put it in to savings. Planning for a replacement.
